Minnieville Road - Prince William Parkway Expansion

Paciulli, Simmons & Associates (PSA) supported this County intersection renovation project by supplying all environmental investigations, mapping, and permitting services.  PSA surveyed and delineated wetlands throughout the project area, coordinated the Jurisdictional Determination with the US Army Corps of Engineers, and secured the necessary permits from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the Virginia Marine Resources Commission.  We also prepared wetland mitigation plans in coordination with these agencies.

PSA engineers and scientists conducted a delineation of perennial streams and used this information, along with the wetlands delineation, to define the Chesapeake Bay Resource Protection Areas in and around the project site.  Our environmental protection specialists conducted a Phase 1 ASTM Environmental Assessment to discover RCRA and TSCA concerns in the right-of-way and surrounding areas.  They also prepared a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan for the proposed construction project, and prepared and submitted a VAR10 form for a Virginia Pollution Discharge Elimination System Permit.

PSA’s responsibilities also included a survey of cultural resources, including historic architecture and prehistoric archeological sites.
