George Mason University, Housing VII-C
George Mason University
The University’s Fairfax Campus has experienced extraordinarily rapid growth in the last three decades. Accompanying that growth has been an increased demand for on-campus student housing as the University expands its educational mission. In constructing this next component of student housing and completing the Northeast Sector Development, Paciulli, Simmons & Associates is providing complete civil engineering, land surveying and environmental services on Housing VII-C. This $50 million, design/build project consists of over 200,000 square feet, a 600 bed student housing complex with associated support spaces, 120 seat specialty dining venue and the extension and relocation of utilities.
This project will follow the requirements outlined in BCOM, the Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM) as well as the George Mason University Design Information Manual and will be designed and constructed to facilitate LEED Silver certification per the U.S. Green Building Council.
